plants eat sunshine and drink rain and poop out oxygen!”
Now THATʼS cool.
Classic Mint Julep Recipe
Ingredients: 3 fresh mint leaves, 1 Tbsp. Mint Simple Syrup,
crushed ice, 1 ounce bourbon, 1 4” cocktail straw, 1 fresh mint
sprig, powdered sugar.
Preparation: Place mint leaves & Mint Simple Syrup in a chilled
julep cup. Gently press leaves against cup with back of spoon to
release flavors. Pack cup tightly with crushed ice, pour bourbon
over ice. Insert straw, place mint sprig directly next to straw &
sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve immediately!
Mint Simple Syrup: 1C sugar, 1C water & 10-12 mint leaves
Bring sugar & water to a boil in a medium saucepan, stir often
until sugar dissolves & remove from heat. Add mint & let cool
completely. Pour into glass jar, cover & chill 24 hours.
Remove & discard mint.
Corn and tomatoes went in the ground this week along with
Summer & Winter Squashes, Cucumbers, Watermelons,
Pumpkins & More Herbs
Peas & Bean plants are reaching toward the sky.
(They loved all the rain on Sunday!)
Garlic plants are HUGE & about to send up their Scapes!

Parsley, Celery, Swiss Chard, Red & Green Cabbages, Broccoli
all looking good.
Starting 2nd plantings of several things.
